Meet Matt Rosenfeld

“With so many people moving to Denver from out of state, it’s important for me to help clients feel comfortable,” cites Matt Rosenfeld, Partner/Broker at Compass Colorado.

Originally from North Carolina, Matt graduated from Appalachian State and then moved to Denver because of the active lifestyle, energy.

“Growing up, I was always interested in sports, and at one point, worked in the fitness industry. My epiphany was that what I liked was helping people set and achieve goals. About the same time, I also bought my first rental property and became interested in real estate.”

“This profession has allowed me to combine two things I am passionate about –

helping people realize their goal of owning a home and guiding them successfully through the process.”

“We’re often a client’s first connection to this city and I like helping them get familiar with it. Moving is exciting, but it can also be unsettling.”

“If I start working with a client early in the process – before they move – we often talk on the phone or have a video chat to get acquainted. I can share insights about the Denver area and start to get a sense of what they are looking for – even get them thinking about particular neighborhoods.“

“With listings so accessible online, it’s easy for people to just start putting in search criteria. But that doesn’t always tell the whole story about a neighborhood.”

“We utilize technology but we also have our feet on the ground and know the nuances and personality of various neighborhood.”

“Yes, we’ll be sending you real-time home listings that meet your search criteria. But you’re also benefit from consistent personal consultation with someone who has your best interest at heart and knows what you want in a new home.”

In many real estate offices, the agents often work independently – they’re essentially a one-person business and an assistant, explains Matt.

“That can be limiting in terms of how quickly you see a home because you’re subject to the agent’s schedule. That can be the difference between getting an offer in on a particular property or missing out.”

“One of the advantages of working with us is that every agent here is full-time and we work as a team. That allows us to act very quickly. Whenever a new home pops up. We all help one another. And that collective knowledge of having a team helps us serve clients better.”

They also understand that buying a home is one of the biggest investments you’ll ever make. And the team takes that responsibility seriously.

“We’re always going to structure the contract so that it protects you and your interests, but also positions you to win the home.

That’s an advantage in this market because a lot of people without the right team working for them do not make it to the closing table.”

“What inspires me? When I work with a client, I always remember that this is one of the biggest investments they will ever make. And working with them, I feel like I’m buying a house for myself or helping a close family member.”
